Release Notes - Prism

Prism v1.2.01 - March 20, 2026

  • Added support for AAX plugin format for ARA in Pro Tools (requires version 2025.6 or later)
  • Compressed save data to reduce file size and speed up saving/loading
  • Renamed algorithm "ac piano" to "grand piano" to more clearly note that it is for high-end acoustic piano recordings (i.e. classical or jazz solo performance); other piano and keyboard audio are typically best served by using the "general" algorithm (doesn't hurt to try both).
  • Improved handling of split clips from the same audio source
  • Fixed a crash related to tempo maps
  • Fixed a crash that could occur when clicking Save Midi/Drag Midi (tempo map related)
  • Fixed a potential conflict with onnxruntime with other installed plugins that prevented Prism from analyzing audio
  • Fixed potential issue with ARA version when a clip is split and moved
  • Fixed a Capture Audio issue with MixCraft and Multitrack Studio DAWs
  • Fixed potential (rare) crash when playing midi and adjusting Sensitivity knob
  • Fixed issue with panning Prism's midi when track is mono (note, you can't pan audio and midi in Prism if DAW track is mono)
  • Fixed issue in non-ara version when just silence is captured and midi notes could get created at end of each row
  • Allow mouse to edit/modify notes when note is small on screen
  • Removed setting a default midi program change message in generated midi
  • Windows uninstall now correctly uninstalls Prism plugin(s)
  • EULA: Clarified that we (Aurally Sound) are not responsible or limit how you use the results Prism creates (use them in your own creations but respect copyrights).

 

 

Prism v1.1.01 - February 4, 2026

This fixes an issue some users are experiencing related to the 21-day free Trial period expiring before the 21-days. 

 

Prism v1.1.0 - January 29, 2026

Non-ARA mode

Prism will now run in any DAW using VST3 and AU plugin formats (Pro Tools is coming) in either ARA mode or as a traditional effect plugin. Previously, we only supported ARA mode, but now, if ARA is not available, Prism can capture the audio and analyze it with the same accuracy as in ARA mode.

Algorithm Improvements

We've made minor improvements to very low bass note detection.

We also made the Sensitivity knob a little more sensitive at lower settings to show more notes if present.

Additional Tweaks 

A number of subtler improvements here and there.

 

 

Prism v1.0.03 - December 16, 2025

Update only needed for Cubase on macOS, fixes an issue when entering text in the Unlock username and password fields and double-characters are getting passed instead of just one.
